This privacy policy is a work-in-progress. It is here to
comply with legislation implemented by The Government of
Canada, effective January 01, 2004. It outlines what
information is collected and on file with respect to the
individuals and companies dealing with Michael Suthern
Computer Services.
Michael Suthern Computer Services (the 'business') does
not currently collect personal information through the
business web site. Under PIPEDA, (the Personal Information
and Protection and Electronic Documents Act) personal
information does not include the name, business title,
business address, or business telephone of any person, i.e.
information on a business card.
The business web site contains links to other sites.
Please be aware the business is not responsible for the
privacy practices of any other web site. The business
encourages you to be aware when you leave the site, and to
read the privacy statements of each and every web site you
visit that collects personally identifiable information.
The business respects the intent of the PIPEDA, and has
collected the information listed above, from business cards
and verbally, for the purposes of invoicing, and maintaining
contact with clients. That information is stored in various
programs, and on various computers operated by the business.
Those programs and computers are password protected, and
backed up to removable media on a regular basis.
That information is never shared with third parties
except with the express verbal or written consent of the
client. The business does not sell, rent or give away any
information collected.
Any changes to this policy will be posted here, with an
appropriate notice on our News web
site page.
